Ever since I saw Estee Lalonde’s vlog, Bold Lipsticks Try-on Haul, I had to binge watch Linda Rodin’s interviews on youtube. Once I saw that she (Linda) only wears bold lipstick colors and barely any makeup, I fell in love with the idea of wearing less makeup and more ‘poppin’ lipstick colors. Although you might think that this lipstick color to the right, Daiquiri by Tarte, is not such a bold color, it is to me. If you know me, you know that I only ever wear just colored chapstick, which doesn’t really seem like I’m wearing any. So when I bought this lipstick, I wasn’t so sure if I would love it, but being my first purchase of Tarte, I’m a total fangirl.
Daiquiri, is a new shade from Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick, the new line that Tarte just released. I don’t know about you, but the word Daiquiri reminds of a really fruity drink you’d have at the beach. And this is what it feels like when I put it on. It reminds me of home, because of its poppy coral color giving off that beachy vibe. This lipstick lives off of the name because it is SO hydrating. When you put it on, it feels like butter, not the ‘yuck’ kind, but the ‘wow this is so smooth like a baby bottoms’ kind. It is honestly so satisfying putting this lipstick on, it goes right on, and comes right off. I’m not one to spend hours on end perfecting my makeup, heck, I only even wear my CC+ Cream (IT Cosmetics), mascara (which these two are only sometimes), blush, and concealer. After I found Daiquiri it’s been my go-to to bring my makeup together.
Don’t get me started on the packaging. How beautiful and mesmerizing is this package!? Let’s just all take a moment to appreciate the soothing, ocean-like package. The package is what first caught my eye, it is such a beautiful color, that you can find it so easily in your purse, and it makes me feel like a princess.
Apart from this lipstick being so stunning and smooth, it is also vegan-friendly! That’s right, no animal cruelty, no parabens, no synthetic fragrances or gluten, and many more ingredients. It’s a vegan girls dream. After trying this lipstick out, I am definitely going to be buying more!
