You probably don’t know this but I’m not a great cook. I live with my parents so my mom cooks everyday and fortunately, my boyfriend Luis, is also a great cook so I haven’t had the need really to learn to cook. Doesn’t mean that I don’t like to cook but, I should probably practice more and maybe during date nights, I should cook instead of Luis (I’ll give this a try!).
Well, since I’m not a great cook, I’m a great JUICE MAKER! It’s pretty easy, you should give it a try! I was in Colorado in the beginning of January and I bought Odwalla Carrot Juice to have for breakfast every morning. I don’t know why, but when I’m in Colorado, I always eat lighter and healthier. Anyways, I had it for 4 days and I was feeling great! That’s when I went on google and started researching about carrot juice and found out that it’s actually AMAZING for you. I’m going to detail below the reasons why you should drink it as well:
- Improves your digestive system. Try drinking carrot juice 20 minutes before a meal to aid with digestion.
- Improves eyesight, especially night vision! Carrots contain beta-carotene; the liver converts into vitamin A and then this compound goes to the retina and becomes rhodopsin, a substance necessary to healthy night-vision (See article here).
- Helps with preventing cancer
- Benefits your skin- Carrots are rich in Vitamin A which is great in helping with damage and dryness in hair, nails & skin.
Carrot juice has many more benefits like improving liver functions, enrich lactation, lung health, regulate blood sugar and more! I found this article from the New Health Guide, which was really helpful.
When trying the carrot juice, if you think the flavor is too strong, add 1/2 an orange to balance out the flavor! Now that I have been sick for almost a week (see here), I’m very serious about drinking my carrot juice everyday.
