It’s December 28th and you are probably NOT thinking about your career or the job you are going to land but I think you should be thinking about those things, right now. I believe we make our own luck and planning is the first step towards improving anything in life (see here) so get your planning notebook and start writing your thoughts. Planning = luck!
Think about this for a second:
“You thrive in your career when you thrive with yourself”
What does it mean and how do you apply it to your life? Keep reading!
- Before you start looking for a new job or start a business, ask yourself: What gives me joy?
- Then, ask yourself: What am I here to do? What’s my mission?
- Once you have figured out that gives you joy and you are set on your life mission, think about your talents and how you can apply them to the job you want or the business you want to start.
I see people focusing on the job title they want, on the salary they want to bring home and while those things are important, they are not the end of things. Why settle for a job title or a salary when you are not happy? DO NOT chase the dream, chase your dream. I can’t emphasize this enough. A lot of times, when looking for new opportunities for growth, the focus is on the HOW when truthfully it should be on the WHY. Here’s why 🙂
- Why are you here? Why are you looking for that certain job title? or why are you looking at that company? When WHAT you should be doing becomes clear, then HOW to do it becomes a joyful journey to strengthen your talents.
So, moral of the story is: As we set foot into the new year, I want you to be conscious of why you are looking for new job opportunities. Look for the right opportunities for YOU, that align with your mission, your talents and with what makes you happy. Once you find these 3 points (mission, talents, joy), don’t waste any time and star the job search. In reality, it’s all about a change in mindset. Give it a try.

Es 28 de Diciembre y probablemete NO estes pensando en el proximo paso en tu carrera o el nuevo trabajo al que quieres aplicar pero yo pienso que SI deberias de estar pensando en eso en este momento. Yo creo que uno construye su propia suerte y para lograr lo que uno quiere, tener un buen plan (soy amante de los planes! mira aqui) es lo mas importante para mejorar cualquier aspecto de tu vida. Asi que saca tu cuadernito de notas y empieza a escribir tus pensamientos! Planificar = suerte!
Tomate un segundo para pensar en esto:
“Prosperas en tu carrera cuando prosperas contigo mismo”
Que significa y como lo puedes aplicar a tu vida? Sigue leyendo!
- Antes que empiezes a buscar un nuevo trabajo preguntate: Que me da alegria?
- Una vez contestes esa pregunta, preguntate: Cual es mi mision? Que quiero lograr? Para que estoy aqui en la tierra?
- Cuando ya sepas que te da alegria y cual es tu mision de vida, ponte a pensar en tus talentos y como los puedes aplicar ya sea al nuevo trabajo que quieres conseguir o la empresa que quieres abrir.
Veo a muchas personas enforcarse en el titulo que quieren conseguir en el nuevo trabajo o el salario que quieres recibir, y aunque esas cosas son importantes, no lo son todo. Por que conformarse con un titulo o un salario cuando no es en realidad lo que te hace feliz? NO persigas el sueno, persigue TU sueno. No puedo ser mas firme en esto! Muchas veces cuando se buscan nuevas oportunidades de crecimiento, el enfoque es el “COMO” cuando deberia ser en el “PORQUE” – Aqui te digo por que 🙂
- Otra vez, porque estas aqui? Porque estas buscando ese titulo? Cuando nos enfocamos mucho en el como conseguir las cosas, ponemos en riesgo nuestra integridad. Una vez encuentres el PORQUE de las cosas, el proceso de como llegar alla se vuelve un proceso lleno de felicidad y abundancia donde disfrutas fortalezer tus talentos para conseguir lo que quieres.
Entonces, cual es el punto de todo esto? Como estamos empezando el nuevo anio, quiero que lo empiezes con el mejor pie derecho! Busca oportunidades que son correctas para TI. Busca oportunidades que se alinean con tu mision, tus talentos y tu felicidad. Una vez tengas claro esos 3 puntos (mision, talento, felicidad) no pierdas mas tiempo y empieza a buscar! En realidad, es simplemente un cambio de mentalidad. Ponlo en practica.
