Rachel Parcell is a huge inspiration of style for me. I discovered her blog Pink Peonies a while back … probably in 2012? Her style is classic and elegant and although always perfectly put together, she never seems “too overdone” – my favorite part.

Last year she launched her personal fashion line and one of the styles stood out for me. The perfect, lace comfortable looking pencil skirt. One of my co-workers suggested I purchase it because she thought it would look good on me but I had different thoughts. Pencil skirts are usually tight around your waist and didn’t think my stomach would look good like that (Confidence problems, anyone?) and I’m also short so I thought the skirt would look awkward with the length.

Anyway, I found a similar skirt to Rachel’s on Amazon and thought it was a great option to test out the style on me. I’m sure Rachel clothing’s quality is excellent but I didn’t want to invest a lot of money in a skirt I wasn’t sure about how it would fit me so I opted to trying out the Amazon friendly version for about $25. The Result? LOVE IT!! It’s not too tight one me, the lace acts as a good disguise for that extra meat on the abs section and the length is pretty with pointy heels 😊.

Great option for you ladies that work in a serious office environment but still want to look stylish. I think it’s also a great option for a fancy date night with your love. Elegance is sexy – according to me. You can find the skirt, HERE!
