I want to tell you something that blew my mind when I read it. 2,000 plastic water bottles are used every second in the USA. wow.
By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. Sad.
Lastly, something my best friend Aliana always brings up in conversation about why plastic is so bad to our society and environment: Plastic water bottles take 450 years to decompose.
That my friends, is insane.
One of the things I love the most about blogging and having platform is the learning that comes with it. As you have noticed by my insta stories, I’m a learning junkie. I value knowledge and information, a lot.
So, I’m happy to be working with Brita on this initiative: #BetterWithBrita specially around Earth Day coming up this month. My intention is for all of you to be aware of the facts surrounding plastic water bottles, how they affect our world and why Brita is leading the way to live better and in a more sustainable way.
Luis LOVES Brita and to be honest, I never paid too much attention why but now I know better.
With Brita, you can replace up to 1,800 single-use plastic bottles a year with cleaner water that tastes great.
Since I got my Brita, I’ve been using it to drink water (duh!) but also to make my morning and afternoon shakes. My mom has also been using Brita by cutting cucumbers and lemons and letting them sit with the water to create flavored water; she used to buy bottled flavored water all the time and now has found this way to be better and it tastes much better than artificial flavors, too.
I want to encourage you to give Brita a try like me and my family did. Take a break from the habit we have of drinking out of bottled water every day. Let’s work together to create a better world and an improved version of ourselves.
Fun Fact: Brita reduces 99% of lead, mercury, chlorine, benzene and more.
I would love to hear from you! Show me how you live #BetterwithBrita by tagging me on Instagram or commenting on my latest picture, here.
