What you NEED to know for your next trip to Punta Cana:

  1. We stayed at Playa Turquesa – a building complex in front of the beach! It was the best because we could come and go from the beach. If someone was tired, hungry or needed to go to the bathroom, they could just take a 5 minute walk to the apartment. We booked thru airbnb!
  2. Our adventure day was SUPER fun! we went boogie car riding on the country side and jumped in a cave! the whole adventure was around two hours and it was fun to just ride around and feel some adrenaline. I would have hoped for more dirt and faster riding but I guess they want to assure to SAFETY! There are maaaany companies that do this type of activity so if you are going to Punta Cana just find one that fits your schedule and budget.
  3. There’s always room for negotiation – Don’t be afraid to haggle! I need to learn how to do this but my dad did a pretty good job. Andre and I went parasailing and the guy wanted to charge us $75 for the two of us, but we ended up paying $50 🙂
  4. If you want to PARTY stay at a resort. We went as a family to relax and recharge so the place were we stayed was pretty low key. Some music but nothing crazy. At night after family dinner, Luis and I would go walking around and sometimes we found a bar but others we just chilled in front of the beach.
  5. We also cooked in our apartment which I LOVE!! Luis and I always have cooking dates (I talk about this here) and think they are great for quality time with your family. BUT, on the last night we went to a little plaza and found the most delicious spot for ice cream – Gustoso is the name; the owner is lovely and she’s Italian. They make the ice cream right there and my favorite one was the flavor “Bacio”. Right next to it, there’s an Italian restaurant called “Trattoria Casa Mia” also owned by an Italian and their pizza is DELICIOUS! (Can you tell I LOVE Italian??) The name of the plaza where these 2 spots are is called: PalmaReal – if you go to Punta Cana, DO NOT miss these two spots and let me know what you think.

Holaa!

Alguna vez has estado en Punta Cana?
