Who here eats 100% clean while following their diet?

Not every one person follows their diet every single day without caving, or eating more than they’re supposed to. One, it’s hard and two, it shouldn’t be called a ‘diet’ rather, a way of life, or what I like to tell myself is to eat in moderation. It’s hard not to eat a piece of chocolate after dinner, or 2 cookies instead of one, I get it. For that same reason is why I indulge in what I want when I want. I don’t deprive myself or restrict myself from wanting to eat a one thing, and neither should you.

A great “diet” or a successful way of eating, is not depriving yourself from what you want to eat, if you want those 2 cookies at midnight, go for it. It won’t ruin your diet, it won’t be the ‘death of you,’ it will make you feel better because, in my opinion and history with this, is that if you don’t eat what you want, you will eventually start eating more of it because you denied yourself from eating it in the first place.

An example of my breakfast: whole wheat bread with half an avo topped with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper

Here are some things that will help you maintain a healthy lifestyle:

  1. 2-3 cups of Bigelow Green Tea a day
  2. Coconut oil over olive oil
  3. 1-2 cups of coffee with almond milk a day
  4. 72 oz of water a day
  5. Whole wheat or whole grain bread
  6. Fruit, fruit, and more fruit
  7. Old Fashioned Oats (oatmeal)
  8. Brown rice, and on occasion, white rice
  9. Veggie burger
  10. Vegetables

Greens, whole grains, fruits, and protein should always be included in your meals. “Eating 3 meals of 800 calories will cause the same thermic effect as eating 6 meals of 400 calories. There is literally no difference.” (Health Line) Basically, eat what you want, just in full moderation without feeling like you’re going to explode at the end of your meal. Another staple in my diet is that I go to Crossfit (see here recent story on exercise) every day to make sure that I am maintaining a balance between my diet and exercise.
